    Residents address Lancaster Town Board on Kohl’s geese and pond issues

    Residents living across Transit Road from the Kohl’s Department Store once again appeared before the Lancaster Town Board to complain about geese waste and the condition of the storm water retention pond that fronts the property.

    Single strands of monofiliment fishing line, strung 6-8" above the pond, 10-15' apart, and around the perimeter will stop geese from landing in the pond. The geese will move on.

    Westwood Park had same problem a few years ago. Parks Department used some type of shiny tape around pond perimeter and it worked wonders. Tape long gone and we only have about twelve geese that now reside at park.
