    I'm looking for a website

I am looking for a website that would tell me a few things.
    1) how much a certain career can make in this area
    2) job growth and opportunity.

I am considering restarting my education process with some internet classes in the fall and want to look at the different career options. I can't seem to finsd a site that has local information.

You may find a website with info about local wages, but a website about job growth and opportunity in this area? Why would someone spend money on a website when there is no content to provide? Unless of course you work for the county or state, or a moving storage company.

Well, the healthcare jobs will most likely turn into governement jobs.... and special education growth seems to be doing just fine the way they are.... creating more government workers.

We do stuff like this all the time at my work. The "labor market analysts" keep track of this kind of stuff. Here are the sites we use:

Regarding how much a certain career can make in this area:

At a local level, the New York State Department of Labor gives wages by area. Make sure you select "Western New York" as a region and check the entry level versus experienced salaries.

    http://www.labor.state.ny.us/workfor...ta/lswage2.asp

    Regarding job growth and opportunity:

The New York State Department of Labor also tracks "jobs in demand and projections" by region-- again, be sure to select "Western new York."

I'm just here to make people laugh. And to confuse people. Oh, and to irritate people.
