I was told it helps with exhaust flow. I have to get the old drive shaft down to www.dennysdriveshaft.com. He ships products all over the USA and globally. What the name of the game again? PULL CASH FLOW INTO THE COMMUNITY.

    They produce Aluminum Driveshafts

The construction of an aluminum driveshaft is very critical, so each one of our aluminum driveshafts comes complete with solid body universal joints and the transmission slip yoke. Great care is taken to produce the cleanest and strongest Mig welds possible to be certain of its strength for street or race abuse. Our balance weights are aluminum (not steel) and Mig welded in precisely the right location. We do it this way to be sure that you have the smoothest running and most reliable aluminum driveshaft that you can buy.

    And Steel Driveshafts

Each shaft is built with meticulous attention to detail. Each shaft is HIGH SPEED BALANCED then TESTED on special equipment to be sure it will run the rpm that you require. If it does not pass this test it doesn't get shipped out. No guess work here...we know what it will do for you because of this final test. That is why a DENNY'S DRIVESHAFT will perform BEST in your application.

Depending on cash flow goes it will be done this summer. They start the engine up next week or so. The parts I dropped off were interior parts, front assembly stuff, wiring harness stuff etc...

I should have started a save the GTO fund.

If it's not too personal of a question, have you done any calculations as to how much this project will have cost you upon completion?

I don't want to. I got rather screwed the first time around on the car. I know that was like 12000 or so completely pissed away. It's bad enough Sloan collision (Chris) took the money but they didn't have to ruin the car. I'm not counting that money as the restoration money. That was just a screwing.

I have the receipts but haven't totaled it up. For the most part my tax returns go into the "Car fund"... My mom helped some with the engine. She would like to see it done before she's dead.

    Ball park

about $7500 or so in the engine...machine work/cam kit/carb,electronic distibutor, balancing, parts etc

    about $7500 in body/frame work/frame assembly/parts (bushings/bearings/shocks/tubes)/skim coat/repair

    about $1000 in the transmission...

about $750 in the rear end...new posi/labor to install

    about $1100 in the exhaust...

about $3500 for a rear clip for parts...

the brakes were given to me by stainless steel brakes in lancaster

I still need a gas tank, rims, tires, full interior, My glass is ok, bumper needs re-chroming , radiator because the idiot who had the car the first time popped a 3" hole threw my original one, top, odds and ends parts.

Oh they want me to find the back spoiler. I don't need it but they think it would be cool. that's probably about a grand.

I know for the most part I can sell the car and get all my money back out. I just have to get it done.
