New home buyers aren't informed of "Property Restrictions at time of purchase" - this issue/fact has been raised by residents for years - over and over the Town Board fails/refuses to compel home sellers or developers to tell prospective buyers. It has been requested of the Town Councilmen many times.

When you buy a home in Lancaster - you don't get information directing you to - check flood plain maps - Call F.E.M.A. - call the Towns building Department or Town Engineer prior to signing contracts !

Yet the Town Board and especialy the Councilmembers who approved these subdivisions are the same ones who want to fine uniformed home owners. Why, the Liason to the Planning Board/Councilmember Donna Stempniak has been aware of these issues for at least 15 years - yet she is against informing new home buyers - WHY ?

The Town Board Councilmen are aware of these issues - yet have refused to compel developers to expose them to new home buyers - Why ?

These same issues have come before the Councilmen numerous time - they always go after the new home owners - Why?

A few years ago - off of Michaels Walk - new home buyers put in pools - yard furniture - sheds. At a subdivision off Walden Avenue - new home buyers put in pools - yard furniture - sheds. In the South end of Lancaster - new home buyers put in pools - yard furniture - sheds.

The Town Councilmen went after the home owners - they voted to create and enforce restrictions on such improvements. - WHY ?

Now they want to give the Building Inspector the ability/authority to fine home owners -WHY ?

The answer to all these "WHY's" is simple - developers support the local Dem Committee - the Builders and Developers support the Four Councilmembers who allowed subdivisions in on or near restricted use land. Some new home owners found wetlands as part of the property they bought.

Some new home buyers are forced to buy thousands of dollars of "Flood Insurance" - some new home owners cant fully use their property because of extended wet areas in their yards.

So the Town Government has a answer - "Fine the residents for not being informed"
