You are so busy splitting puritanical hairs that you don't see the big picture. Your guy lit the fire under the terrorists, leading to thousands of deaths and thousands of injuries, your party is responsible for aggressions which could lead to a world catastrophe.
We are discussing NOW. What are you going to do to STOP this?
Speaker, that is another dem mantra. Bush lied thousands died.
We shall overlook the terrorsit activities for the past century that has had nothing to do with Bush or the US.

Bottomline, both sides of the political filth coin are one in the same. How anyone would support either party is beyond me.

Speaker, I'm not being rude to you but lets' stay on topic in this thread. Your discussion is for another thread. One which already exists if I'm not mistaken.

This is my point exactly! Bingo!
DR_GONZO WINS THE GOLD MEDAL OF UNDERSTANDING!
    (staying with an olympic theme.)
    Applause. Cheers. Sounds of jubilation!
This is also my point about the DNC plan to exploit the "culture of corruption" angle. It is going to come back and bite them in the arse. Just as it is now for the GOP and the "contract with america".

For every corrupt Republican you bring up, I can bring up a Democrat just the same. It is tit for tat in the world of corruption. The parties make believe that average america doesn't care. They are probably right in their thinking.

Those of us who listen to talk radio (right or left) and participate in MBs', such as ours, or blogs. Are far ahead of average america.

Though, I believe, we do need to belong to a party that best fits our individual ideals. Even when you don't like what they do at times unforseen. You just shake your head and try to remove them from office.

Nothing in this world is perfect nor will it ever be. Striving for perfect in governance, is a futile dance in confusion.

Some of you may remember this story.
A very good liberal friend of mine.
Yes I can here what your thinking.
    Hardy has a friend?
Yes! I do and a liberal one at that.
Who was born and raised in Washington DC. She told me that growing up in Washington, she never knew people would or could actually tell you the truth. Until she move to WNY and found people here who can and do tell the truth. Of course until she learned about our politics in NYS and Joel with his cohorts.

So for all the BS. Both parties are quilty of corruption at one time or another. To point at the Republicans is just an effort by the Dems to say don't look at us! It's all them! Which isn't true at all.

LHardy applauds Dr. Gonzo's statement "how anyone could support either party is beyond me" then goes right back to bashing the Democrats.

Welcome to "Missing the Point" with your host, LHardy.

Aaron Burr (1756-1836) — Democrat of New York, New York County, Colonel in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War; lawyer; member of New York state assembly from New York County, 1784-85; New York state attorney general, 1789-91; appointed 1789; U.S. Senator from New York, 1791-97; Vice President of the United States, 1801-05. Presbyterian. Killed Alexander Hamilton in a duel, July 11, 1804. Tried for treason in 1807 and acquitted.

Unfortunately, this is not correct. Aaron Burr was a formative member of the Democratic-Republican Party of which President Thomas Jefferson was also a member.

You can't compare 19th Century political parties to 21st century political parties. There's nothing similar about them.

Don't forget the Republicans two stooges comedy team:

Republican Vice President Spiro Agnew resigned because of a tax evasion scandal.

And from the same administration -

President Richard Nixon resigned over the Watergate Scandal.

We can't be held accountable for what the Democrats did 200 years ago. It was a completely different time and different life.
We are what we are because we live today.

If we were alive back then who knows what we would be?

    I agree.

These people started taking low blows at me as soon as I logged on last May. I'm not Christian so I don't turn the other cheek.
