how a party is supposed to work

i hear the democratic party isn't going to endorse any candidate for mayor in the september primary. they will support the candidate who wins the primary election. good for them. this is how a party is supposed to be. to be supportive of what the people decide instead of themselves. in the past. or in other elections the democratic party would pick a candidate they support before the primary. "party-goers" mostly pick who the party picks. this time it's different. i'm happy the party has stepped aside for a primary to see who is the person the people vote for. all elections should be run this way. good job dem party! :-)

Don't worry, i'm sure they promissed enough "kick ass kick backs" to the other third parties like the socialist party to endorse Brown, so the don't get egg on their face if they lose.

lol. you're so funny. if you're from another party you can't vote in a democratic primary unless you're democrat. i'm sure there are some kick ass kick backs for the party not picking who to endorse in september. the party is probably split between candidates and some might be pulling alot of weight against anothers pulling just as much. the party made a good choice. i'm not dumb you know. :-)

I've always wondered why it's called a party.

Anyone who thinks this is a party needs to go back to college for 4 years and major in Physical Education.

I can tell you how it does work……..

1st you go out and suck up to the CSEA, NYSUT, SEIU or a rich businessperson like Tom Golisano.

Then you go blow Len Lenihan or Jim Domagolski and explain to them your ability to bring in lots of money for the party.

Then you get endorsed from the party and get elected.

Then you go out and extort as much taxpayer money as possible and give it back to the CSEA, NYSUT, SEIU or the rich businesspeople that supported you.

    It’s all pretty disgusting, actually!!!!

do you think the republicans do anything different? how does that party make their endorsement? either way. i still think it's good the democratic party isn't going to pick a candidate to endorse for the primaries.
