I spoke to a worker at the County Highway department, who was phyiscally beaten for opening his mouth and talking to the FBI. He did this two years ago. His family was also threaten. He decieded to leave the area because of the fear he felt for his family and himself.
Did we ever get the names of hte people that did the beating so we can ask them who told them to? Remeber never be afraid of people that use violence to get thier point across. They don't have brains to do it any other way. Once they are expose as a whole to the general populace they sort of lose thier scariness.
The brains? The Mafia uses physical abuse to keep people quiet and they are quite smart at what they do. The thought of physical harm or the fact that they could be maimed was the biggest fear of acient cavelry. Even more so than the fear of death.
