After Trump win, Cuomo touts NY as 'refuge'

    The title of the story:

After Trump win, Cuomo touts NY as 'refuge'

ALBANY - Gov. Andrew Cuomo touted New York as an inclusive "refuge" following the election of Donald Trump as president, unleashing a weekend blitz of social-media posts and an open letter promoting the state as the "progressive capital."

Cuomo, a Democrat who supported Hillary Clinton, has vowed to work with Trump's White House while continuing to highlight their "fundamentally different philosophies."

In a Facebook post Saturday, Cuomo said New York's "proud legacy as the progressive capital of the nation" is "more important today than ever before."

"As New Yorkers, we have fundamentally different philosophies than what Donald Trump laid out in his campaign," the post reads. "So let me be absolutely clear: If anyone feels that they are under attack, I want them to know that the state of New York – the state that has the Statue of Liberty in its harbor – is their refuge."
    This is the issue:

"I want them to know that the state of New York – the state government that has it's hands deep into the net tax payers pockets"

NY IS already a refuge, especially for people that love paying high taxes.

First , " According to a 2005 estimate, there are 645,000 undocumented immigrants in the state of New York, and there are 535,000 illegal immigrants in New York City alone."

Many or most of whom work for sub standard wages and work in substandard conditions - you know - sort of like slaves.

So one could argue what Gov Cuomo supports is a cast system - he supports the refugees and immigrants because they work cheap and he gets Federal aid for many of them.

The largest part of his regular voters are wealthier white people and tax funded employees. It works out pretty good for him that way !

It seems the NY Controlling Dems believe with enough tax funded employees the State could support it self. So all they need is a bunch of sub standard workers to serve the tax funded State.

The controlling Dems have been riding the patronage train so long they see it almost like the "Family Business". They teach their young how to work the system at a early age.

But I digress - lets cut all federal aid for illegal immigrants - that's a good start.
#Dems play musical chairs + patronage and nepotism = entitlement !

Hopefully the "anchor baby" term won't be heard after Jan 20th either. If you have your baby on US soil, it can be the same nationality as its mother.

agreed. The law needs to be changed so that US citizenship by birth only applies if the parents are US citizens or legal permanent residents
Vote for freedom, not political parties.
    Politicians need to cut spending

Unless I'm mistaken, what you are proposing would require a constitutional amendment to nullify part of the 14th amendment.

Bottom line - most of those great humanitarians on the news right now - Mayors/Sheriffs are from the same Controlling Dem Club.(not so controlling January)

Now once President Trump stops sending their Federal aid (our tax dollars) that they receive now - watch how their songs change. Its all about the money folks. Everyones getting a piece of our pie - everyone accept our kids - our families !

No more Free Rides - until resident Americans get Free College Vouchers - Free Food Vouchers - Free Housing Vouchers - no one else should be getting it. After we get it - then those Illegal Immigrants can come and reapply again.

Sounds fair to me - how about you !

How much more can you afford to pay that your family will never benefit from ?
