    Code Enforcement Officer (CEO)

I have a question, I just read in the Bee about the CEO of Depew is Tony Fischione, why does this name ring a bell? Is this person related to Michael Fischione whom we appointed this past Tuesday night as the part-time Code Enforcement Officer?

    Shortie,
It was Matt Fischione who was appointed Tuesday as part time CEO.
Another double dipper as he is also a part time CEO for the Village of Depew

From the Village of Depew website
    Building Department

    Tony Fischione, Code Enforcement Officer

    Matt Fischione, Code Enforcement Officer
    Is that a family affair?

I noticed his term as PT CEO for the Village of Depew expires the First Monday in April. Maybe, he'll remove his name from consideration for another term there at that time.

Hmm gorja interesting at best. I suppose it might be what you stated, perhaps that person will remove his name. But this is another indication of the friends and family job agency. That said, I would not have any problem with it if this person actually performed the duties required of him.

I actually have heard from several people-neighbors included that the past year, code enforcement services has been subpar. I am beginning to see a deterioration in this department. Perhaps people should start looking at this department a bit closer.

They are rescinding the PT temporary appointment of Fischione and making it PT permanent

Look what Aquino is up to?

Sending proposed local law regarding permitted uses in Light Industrial District with special use permits to the Planning board

Be it hereby enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Lancaster as follows:
Section 1: Section 50-24(B)(1)(f) of the Town of Lancaster Town Code is amended to read in its entirety as follows:
    (f) Any commercial recreation activity including, but not limited to, private commercial airports (special use permit required).
Section 2: Severability. Should any provision of this Local Law be declared by the courts to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of this Local Law as a whole or any part thereof other than the part so decided to be unconstitutional or invalid.
Section 3: Effective Date. This Local Law shall be effective upon its filing with the Secretary of State in accordance with the Municipal Home Rule Law.

Makes you wonder why our town government is bound and determined to allow Lancaster Airport to do whatever they want. Once zoning is changed, the FAA will continue to fund BQR and the jets will be here all on our tax funded dollars. Unbelievable!
All they have to do is hold BQR to their current size as requested by hundreds of town residents at last public hearing. This isn't rocket science!
Then again, I guess Mark Aquino isn't happy losing last election and wants a repeat performance next election. Lets hope John Abraham and Ron Ruffino make the right decision for Lancaster. I won't mention Donna for obvious reasons.....

Unlike the town board, I can only hope they actually do their homework before sending on the "Zoning Board".
