    Just checking here.....

You do realize that collecting a paycheck and actually working CAN be considered 2 different things, right?
This comment made it sound like you were saying she doesn't work.

What was the point of that comment then?

    Oh it was effigy

A great union victory that comes at the private sectors expense. Well said from a parrot that has never worked a day in their life.

    Cgood with his comment

I knew she was a free cheeser.

    It was a question....

Many people collect a paycheck while not working. Doesn't mean it was against Huggy personally.

    I agree....

Speaking as an evil enemy of the taxpayers (teacher) I think that ALL State pensions ought to be taxed....

Really.... If I work at a high school or community college until I retire, my pension will be about $40,000 non-taxed....

40K is a LOT for a pension.... just tax them all....

Seeing the context of the comments in the thread I wouldn't take it as a question. More of a shot that treehugger doesn't work.

You were a better man to have tried. Keep your chin up.

The bottom line is this deal from the blind Governor isn't going to be good for anyone in the long run. I’m don't believe he ever intended to cut any of the 8,900 people from the state work force.

This what Patterson said: Facing a growing deficit and noting public employee union leaders have resisted his call for give-backs, Gov. David Paterson on Tuesday said he wants to cut 8,900 people from the state work force.

    However,
There haven't been large-scale state layoffs since the early 1990s.

This is what Patterson did: According to the governor's office, the $20,000 retirement incentive will be offered to about 4,500 employees. Another 2,500 jobs that are funded but vacant will be permanently abolished.

Threaten the Union and when they don't fall for the ploy, give in to their demands. Business as usual.

All smoke and mirrors, 2500 jobs that are vacant and still funded? What an outrage! How many other state jobs are funded but vacant? Inquiring minds would like to know.
