Housing Court reviews Drati's properties 1-by-1

After reviewing 59 properties owned by Joy Drati or his company, J.D. Max Homes LLC, Buffalo Housing Court Judge Henry Nowak suggested that a few properties that are habitable could be put into receivership and generate income for about 15 that could be repaired.

The only thing I feel bad about here is that Wizig isn't sharing Drati's cell.

Let this guy sell some or all of his other property to get the bucks to either demolish his Buffalo properties or bring them into compliance, and then publicize his troubles -- not in Buffalo, but in some of the bigger metro areas. If other would-be flippers and slumlord wannabees heard about this guy getting jailed, they'd look elsewhere to run their scams.

Wizig is real villain in Drati debacle

Wizig sold Drati (JD Max) over 50 virtually worthless parcels, including about 8 east side vacant lots in Feb 2004 for an alleged price of $920,000.

Then he gave Drati a mortgage for about $870,000, bringing the cash price about $1,000 per parcel, about the price a scammer from California would likely be willing to pay. Drati is not stupid, so he certainly checked to see that Wizig payed several thousands, or less, at the city & county tax auctions for most of his properties.

It is very similar to the deal that Wizig pulled with Georgia-based scam "Non-Profit Training", which also did nothing to about 50 Wizig properties, many now needing demolition at taxpayer cost.

Wizig also "sold" about 50 to another entity whose name (having three letters) I do not recall. Those parcels are also in chaos.

Wizig is a white collar criminal, one of many who had been plundering Buffalo's inner-city neighborhoods. Politically that is much more acceptable than drug-dealing on the corner.
