not a "restaurant" really, but I miss Freddie's Doughnuts!!
Recent ghost---Just Pasta on Bryant St. when it belonged to Don Warfe. After it opened under different ownership, the food was never quite as wonderful(nor was the service).
If I remember correctly, the Turkey Roost was located on Main Street just past Transit in the Plaza that used to house Grants and Hills. I believe it was the restaurant that later became Charlie Brown's.
The path is clear
Though no eyes can see
The course laid down long before.
And so with gods and men
The sheep remain inside their pen,
Though many times they've seen the way to leave.

Statler: "You think this show constitutes cruelty to animals?"
Waldorf: "Not unless you're watching it!"

What if the Hokey-Pokey IS what it's all about?
Turkey Roost was at the corner of Main and Gunville next to Clarence High School. If you cut class you could be found there. I think it closed in mid 1980's , but not sure.Originally Posted by Logic

Uncle John's Pancake House. The best potato pancakes.
The Dog House, on Dick Rd, by St. Barnabas. I used to stop there for breakfast as a kid with dad after dropping mom off at work at Twin Fair. as a four year old, I though it was exciting being able to sit at the counter with the truck drivers.
Chaos, Panic, Disorder, my work here is done!
Sadly another has bitten the dust - Morgan's Restaurant on Delaware near Sheridan. It was a great family owned establishment with banquet rooms in the rear - the only restaruant in Kenmore with banquet facilities.

I'm just here to make people laugh. And to confuse people. Oh, and to irritate people.
Hugh's on Main Street, near Cathedral Park (bar-B-Q sangwitch, .75 and delish!) ... Woolworth's on Main, when people lined-up by the HUNDREDS for their delicious fried chicken .... Chicago Lunch, around the corner from the Century Theater (hot dogs 25 cents, fries 15 cents, Coke 15 cents - lunch for less than $1 ! ) ... Carl Meyer's Hoff, Court Street (pot roast, taters, veggie, 6-ounce Coke, $2.25) ... Parkside Candies at Main & Oakwood (burgers, real fries, Coke mixed on premises, real home-made ice cream) .... sigh .... might as well cook at home, today.
ps - Grandparents & Mom & family ate at Chin's, often. Wish I coulda been there

Outlaws was at Main and Sheridan in Clarence - where Tim Horton's is now. There was also an "adult entertainment" restaurant across the street on Main, but it burned down in the mid 80's. I may be wrong on the date - I was still in elementary school....
Does anyone remember what the name of the restaurant was that now houses Club Infinity on Main St near Transit? They used to show a movie while you ate dinner. I remember seeing Harry and the Henderson's there....
For the ole farts in Depew - Jan's Pizzeria on Main Street. Good Pizza
romanello's roseland
jimmy macs (when rick owned it)
mastrantonio's

Too long to read the whole thing, but I'll toss in two that may have not been mentioned:

Let me articulate this for you:
