Channel 2's Lynne Dixon to run for County Legislature

Lynne Dixon, a veteran reporter for Channel 2 News, will be the Republican candidate opposing Democratic Legislator Robert B. Reynolds of Hamburg, The Buffalo News has learned.
Two highly placed sources said Dixon will seek the nomination, with one indicating she has submitted her two week's notice of resignation to Channel 2.
Dixon, 43, is a registered member of the Independence Party, which is expected to give her a strong claim on that nomination. The sources say she also has submitted a letter to Conservative leaders declaring her intention to run. They have scheduled her for an interview on Tuesday.
The Channel 2 reporter marks the second, high-profile media figure selected by Republicans in recent days to run for the County Legislature. Kevin R. Hardwick, a Canisius College political science professor who hosted the "Hardline with Hardwick" government and politics show on WBEN Radio, said over the weekend he will challenge Legislator Michele M. Iannello, D-Kenmore.

Well I think she's been so bombarded by the crap the DEM's have done to this area for the last 10+ years she's finally sick of it and standing up for it.

She prob has a good shot as she knows a lot about the media and has a name out for her already!

She's not running as a Liberal, so no, she doesn't get to keep the coat of royalty!

If she can't keep the coat I hope she keeps the mentality that the red coat is supposed to represent.

Good for her! I wish her luck!
I'm just here to make people laugh. And to confuse people. Oh, and to irritate people.
