Ok .. I'm guessing this was the agenda for the meeting of the EC Legislature on Jan. 5th, 2006.

Where does it say they were increasing their budget $100,000 or approving Sherrif Tim Howards request to re-hire 3 staff workers (including his girlfriend), while cutting out 10 reserve deputy positions?

ok, I was right. This was jan. 5th's agenda.

Since my political jargon isn't up to speed, I ask again ....

Where does it say they were increasing their budget $100,000 or approving Sherrif Tim Howards request to re-hire 3 staff workers (including his girlfriend), while cutting out 10 reserve deputy positions?

Would they of worded it that way or just mention which budget was increased or decreased?

    Well, that's my point.

A lot of these agenda items are vague in their intent.

"COMM. 1E-10 COUNTY EXECUTIVE Open Item - Sheriff Dispatch
    Positions in CPS"

That could mean a lot of things, imo. Were those 3 re-hired workers "Sheriff Dispatch Positions in CPS"? Or are they talking about 911 operators?

    See what I mean?

    "COMM. 1D-6 CLERK OF THE
    LEGISLATURE
    Legislature District Offices"

Is this the agenda item that indicates a plan to increase the Leg. budget?

    I don't know. Do you?
