true, but the bills sill be gone first. I don't care what smuck schumer says. if your the new owner you can move it. What do you think the new owner will ask for first. A NEW DOME, Im not playing in a 39 year old stadium, and where do you think the dome is Toronto!

This is how I perceived the news of his "move" too.

Well, if that owner wanted a 23 year old domed stadium that is sub-par by all NFL standards then I would say yes.

Hamilton the size of Jamestown? That's one of the things I love about this area, the provincial thinking of the people. How long have we been hearing about the declining population in WNY.Those people didn't just vanish...they've moved to Raleigh, Nashville, Tampa...all those cities where the NHL is just starting to take root. As for the Sabres moving, we're already seeing the Bills be moved game by game. How long before they're playing 5 games in Toronto and 3 in Buffalo. Why couldn't the Sabres play "just a few" games in Hamilton and then just a few more and so on? By the way Hamilton is well larger than Buffalo and if you add in the surrounding communities it 's metro area is even larger still that the Buffalo metro area. At best the teams here are condemned to almost permanent mediocrity because we simply don't have the wealth to sell out massive numbers of luxury boxes to fund the salaries for a championship team.

It will have no effect on the Sabres.

According to Wikipedia, Hamilton's 2006 population was 504,559. A lot more than Jamestown, I'd say.

PS: Hockey-mad Southern Ontario can support a third NHL team.
Hamilton's size skyrocketed in 2001 because of mergers with surrounding suburbs... much like what we want to do here with Erie County. The city of Hamilton is probably comparable to Buffalo. The metro of Hamilton is still much smaller than Buffalo's, but they have the Toronto metro nearby which adds huge market potential.

I do agree with you on Buffalo is a hockey town. But don't ever say the NHL won't let Hamilton have a team it's all about money. If the Sabres start to lose money whats the next best thing move them.

    Golisano ruining for US Senator?

As heard on the local TV news (11 PM) last night

The owner of the Buffalo Sabres Mr. Tom Golisano is considering running for the United States Senate in the residence of his new state Florida. Can this be ill tidings for the Buffalo Sabres? Will Mr. Golisano loose interest in the Buffalo Sabres and sell the team to billionaire Mr. Jim Balsillie who wants to place a NHL team in Hamilton?

    I doubt it.
Let me articulate this for you:
