If we can't get that, anyone know of a private venue in Cheektowaga-Lancaster that could hold lots of people?
I made a request to use the Pulaski Cultural Center (Cheektowaga Town Park) for a tea party on July 4th in the am.
I was told the "whole park" is being used for July 4th events.
Anyone know what the deal is? I just want the place for about an hour in the morning.
For once, can we celebrate July 4th by actually recalling what it was about? Just for an hour?

It's a large park. We just want a small piece for a hour.

What's at the cultural center in the morning?
It's fenced in and we need their sound system.
Look, I want to bring loads of people to Cheektowaga to their great park to spend money on gas, food, etc. Many would stick around for their party later.
I have had other events in Cheeektowaga. They really should welcome us and not give us the bureaucratic cold shoulder.
Child?, you make up a name and attack someone on the web. You're the child. Say it to my face.
Anyway, their loss. We are having it downtown.
Wouldn't want to spoil their "4th of July" party at the Pulaski Center by trying to revive the moribund principles of the American Revolution.
Here's the image that didn't load.

Jim .. these parks are booked in advance. The town celebrations start fairly early and ya gotta take into account time needed by the town/organizers to set-up prior to the festivities. I'm guessing the town doesn't want loads of people on the grounds while they are setting up for the day.
The other issue would be the pavilions which are also rented out months in advance. Residents/renters have occupancy of the pavilion for the whole day.
I'm pretty sure you're gonna find these same isssues arise at most, if not all, the town parks on the 4th of July.
It's moot. We are going to be at Niagara Square.
Most children would be smart enough to realize that you can't book an event on the 4th of July in a park that has daylong festivities. Much less complain about it.
4th of July in Niagara Square worked for the Goo Goo Dolls, so I suppose it will work for Free Buffalo.
