    Remember the www.ecdems.com supported ObamaCare

137,000 in WNY get health care discontinuation notices

At least 137,000 people in the eight counties of Western New York have received, or will soon receive, a notice that President Obama said they would never get: a notice that their health insurance is being discontinued, and that they’ll have to shop for another plan.

That’s the number of people who get insurance from Buffalo’s three major insurers who are destined to get the government-mandated letter, a jargon-filled tome that one local insurance executive called “a 14-page packet-o-whacket.”

It's great that the law is helping to inform people of the shortfalls in their existing coverage and preventing insurance companies from ripping off people with substandard policies.

Yes, I will remember the party that supported a universal health care plan, even though it has some problems that need to be addressed.

I'll also remember the party that shut down the government and disrupted the lives of millions trying to re-argue the 2012 presidential election, and the party that hasn't put forward a universal health care plan in 20 years, instead relying on the free market to decide who gets health care and who does not.

    Yep, lots of remembering.

The Affordable health care act may be the end of the democratic party as we know it. By next national general elections this new healthcare plan may end the dems majority in the senate. The republicans will say we did everything we could to stop this act even shutting down the government but noone listened. Within a year we all will be hearing how the repulicans and tea party tried to stop this mess. The dems will suffer greatly in the polls for they will be the only ones to blame. Great stragedy by the republicans. This healthcare plan called Obamacare was around in the 90's. It was set up by insurance companies to milk the public even more.Higher premiums and more young healthy people having to get insurance is such a major bonus to ins companies. When it comes to trillions of dollars nothing is by coincidence.

We already have two great national health care plans - Medicare and Medicaid. Why not work from these models and solve our uninsured problem by insituting a sliding fee scale cost-share based on income and expand coverage?

Yes, we still have to deal with the administrative level of healthcare costs, but, now is the perfect storm to reform the health insurance industry, which is really what "affordable care" is all about.
