Love Knows No Boundaries was written, performed, recorded and distributed through an all-volunteer group of Western New York citizens and companies. According to group spokesperson, Christina Abt, the group came together to honor all those connected with the devastating plane crash.

“There is no way that any of us will ever forget the tragedy of the lives lost in the crash of flight 3407,” Abt stated. “And we will always remember the caring actions of the First Responders, the emergency service organizations, the NFTA, state and county law enforcement officers, the Town of Clarence Officials and the volunteer citizens of WNY who gave so much in the days and weeks that followed. So, to ensure that there is a way to respectfully mark this life changing moment in our region’s history, and to help our community deal with the aftermath, we have created and produced a song to raise funds for construction of a memorial site.”

Clarence Town Attorney Mike Powers is coordinating town volunteer activities relative to the crash aftermath and will be overseeing memorial plans in tandem with Clarence resident, John Leamer. Powers explained, “Plans for a town memorial will be the subject of discussions with families of victims, Long St. neighbors and all Clarence residents before any final plans are made. It is our goal for the entire community to be heard and to be involved in this effort.”

Performers involved in Love Knows No Boundaries include vocalists Noa Bursie, Bass Reeves and Gretchen Schulz and back-up vocalists The Gayle Sisters, Diane Alice and Mary Ann. Featured musicians are keyboardist Ken Kaufman, percussionist Emile Latimer and guitarist Jerry Livingston, all members of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame. Rounding out the performance list is the New Beginnings Gospel Choir under the direction of Ella Robinson, also a member of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame. Love Knows No Boundaries was written by Abt and Bursie, and recorded at Eastco Multi Media’s California Road Studios, where the artwork for the project was created.

Eastco Multi Media Solutions owner, Holt Vaughn, stated that his company’s role in recording and packaging the song was simply a case of doing the right thing. “We’re just glad to be involved, to reach out and do all we can to help in the face of a sudden loss such as this. Besides providing the studios we’ll be praying for all involved.”

Abt acknowledged the full list of those individuals and businesses associated with the project, all of whom have donated their services. “In addition to Eastco and all the performers and musicians, the following WNY’ers have given of their time and talents. Fred Betschen of Mark Studios, Matt Brown of BrownBuffalo Photography, Jim Charlier of JCharlier Communication Design, Marti Gorman of Buffalo Old Home Week, Aaron LaPorta and Josh Myers of Eastco, Rick Mathews President of The Buffalo Music Hall of Fame, Mark Odien of WNYMedia, Marilyn Rodgers of MRodgers FCS, Stuart Shapiro of Cohen and Lombardo, Record Theater, PC, McKinley Liquors, Panera Bread Orchard Park, The Poppyseed Restaurant and Ricotta’s Restaurant. And this laundry list of volunteers is exactly what Buffalo and the Western New York Community is all about. Pulling together and helping whenever there is a need.”
