I agree 4248. Why would Mark sponsor a resolution if he has no opinion? It seems to me if you sponsor something, you are for it.
If the Town Councilman (Coucilmember Abraham,Councilmember Aquino,Councilmember Stempniak and Councilmember R.Ruffino) approve the new zoning change - this could mean major issues for one of Lancaster newly built areas. There have been many new upscale houses on Pavement Road all the way south to Broadway.
Theres also a senior complex and assisted living facility near the County Club/Golf course.
Larger planes mean more noise and fuel loads/capacity. More flight in and out of this area and when ever needed - overflow aircraft traffic could be diverted from the Buffalo/Niagara Airport on RT 33 Genessee - to the expanded Lancaster Walden Ave Airstrip.
This whole thing seems suspicious - Councilman Aquino sponsors a resolution - yet say he has no opinion - washes his hands by saying, "I wasn't even on the Board when this started - just trying to "Air it out" - then when a Resident asked where the request came from - "Through our Town Attorney"
So is it common practice for Town Board Members to sponsor a resolution they have no "Personal" knowledge of its pro's and con's -
Is it common or legal to lump separate issues into one resolution hearing - ?
Theres just too many unanswered questions - like why did the Town Council and the past Admin quietly help this airstrip get $13 Million tax dollars to expand - why did the Council deny they helped the Airstrip until the owner made it public info ?
Why is Councilmember Aquino who's running for a higher elected position sponsoring a resolution he claims he has not formed an opinion on. This after numerous Town Hall meetings over the years, where residents expressed their not wanting this airstrip to grow ?
#Dems play musical chairs + patronage and nepotism = entitlement !

Sounds like an oxymoron doesn't it? Good points, however recall Mr. Aquino wrote letters regarding the Colecraft and he wasn't on the seat at the time. Odd isn't it?
