LANCASTER REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE ENDORSES LEARY AND SPORTELLI FOR TOWN COUNCIL
Committee Also Endorses Anthony Cervi for Town Justice and Joseph Brainard for Highway Superintendent
Lancaster, NY – Lancaster Republican Committee Chairman Robert Matthews today announced that the Committee has endorsed its slate of candidates for the fall elections.
The committee endorsed Robert Leary, a former Federal law enforcement officer and Assistant Vice President in the Surveillance and Investigations Unit (SIU) at First Niagara Financial Group and Patrick Sportelli, who currently volunteers as a member of the Lancaster Parks and Recreation Commission and has a background in finance and real estate for Town Council.
Anthony Cervi is the endorsed candidate for Lancaster Town Judge, Cervi is an Attorney at Law with an active law practice serving the community for over a decade. Cervi’s areas of practice include matrimonial/family law, real estate, corporations, personal injury, wills/estate planning, civil litigation, and a high concentration in criminal defense (misdemeanor and felony trial work).
Joseph Brainard, the Republican candidate for Highway Superintendent, is co-owner of Double Down Transportation Services with significant experience in both union and non-union workplaces. Brainard has significant experience with bids, postings, and setting daily, weekly, and monthly planners allowing him to be successful at staying within budget.
“Bob Leary, Patrick Sportelli, Anthony Cervi, and Joseph Brainard represent some of the best and brightest individuals in the Town of Lancaster and I am proud to stand here today to announce the endorsement of these candidates as our slate for Town government,” said Chairman Matthews. “Our community has been dominated by the same group of people for 20 years, this year we offer the residents of Lancaster the chance to build a new majority in the Town of Lancaster. This new majority will fight for the residents of Lancaster and join Supervisor Dino Fudoli in controlling reckless town spending and restoring fiscal accountability and transparency to town government.”
