    Lancaster police destroying handguns

The equipment looks antique. It does do the job in time. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...type=2&theater

Oh my goodness, one gun at a time? 9.25 million dollar budget down the grinding tubes. I'm sorry folks, I could not resist some humor here.

As someone who used to have this responsibility with a local PD; after all paperwork was sent out, approval given by all required parties, the weapons were cut with an oxyacetylene torch, down the barrel and across the frame at least once. The destruction was carried out and witnessed by 3 people that signed off on the destruction.
If it weren't for the United States Military, there would be NO United States of America !

Something like the shredder in post #2 would be adequate. You could destroy dozens by the time one person took a torch to cut the pieces apart. I also believe it would create less pollution
