    Mayor Erkel Hides..

So empty suit mayor hides in his office.

    Rod Watson wacks him good..

Erk, whose worst grades in a Buffalo News community survey were for “transparency” and “accessibility,” lived down to his billing. He refused to be available to shed light on his philosophy of governing, where he wants to lead the city, or anything else.

He has a lot of transparency! So much that we figure he's invisible in our neighborhood!

    Not taking sides - but

Once the main stream media has a set agenda - how could any one "Tell their side"?

They throw out some contrived study - then use that to shape "The rest of the story"

What professional agency designed this "Study" - who chose the participants - what positive actions/results were supposed to be gained by this "Poll"? None.

The Mayor might not be as "accessible" as we'd like - how could he be - how many people a day want his attention?

Yes, he has "Police" outside his offices - unfortunately Buffalo has been historically controlled by one group - and I don't believe they are "People of Color."

Campaign season has started - the Bufnews loves to follow and insert Dem influences into just about everything they do.

    Is Buffalo floundering - Yes.

Does Buffalo have the factory jobs surrounding it any more - NO.

Who has historically controlled Buffalo and its finances ? _________ I'll let you fill in that blank.

    Just sayin!

And this is one of the issues that does hurt our community. We have quite a few people without higher level skill sets. You can say "go to school and learn" but there still isn't enough jobs in the area. If there were we would not have lost 10000's of people over the last 10 years while the community has been controlled by the www.ecdems.com.

Sorry Res - I have to disagree with one part of your statement. Unfortunately this is not just a "Community" issue - its Nationwide.

Chicago announced the closing of over 50 schools.

All over America people are unemployed and more will run out of unemployment insurance soon. What next ?

While the main stream media down plays our eventual economical title wave - our Government focuses on regulating our freedoms.

Buffalo's Mayor is but a symptom of the actual dysfunction that "Politics" has helped build Nation wide.

But don't we have pockets of success in various communities in the USA?

Yes, due in great part to migrating residents/retirees - they seek areas with lower cost of living - lower taxes.

This migration helps spur selected economies - housing - food services - local sales.

Usually these areas have had traditionally less Government - less government services = less tax funded workers. Unfortunately NYS will never become one of those areas - it seems some how our Politicians/Party's believe they can inflate the number of tax funded employees at will. They seem to believe at some magic point the "Tax and Spend cycle" will some how become "Self Sustaining" - like some giant tax dollar recycle plan. It won't work.

We need change - we need people to end blind Party voting.
