    huh?

Judy can not be a candidate unless she received the required amount of valid signatures.
Anyone can be a candidate...she just can't be on the ballot you mean...w/o the required signatures?

If that's the case, then Judy, Gaughan, and Calvaneso should pool their endorsments for one candidate (if that's Judy, fine) Gaughan and Calvaneso should not throw in the towel and sit on the sidelines.. They should be using their name-recognition to continue the push for New Blood in city hall.

The Buffalo News has this totally wrapped up between Helfer and Brown. If there are other options, the citizens do not know of them.

I would assume most people (like myself) don't even know how the Write-In process works.

Don't you all think it's sort of sad that brown and helfer are the best buffalo gets to vote for?

Have you seen the WBEN 930 web poll?
Last I saw it showed 32% for neither candidate!
    Now that is funny!
To bad this poll was not restricted to city voters only. Then we could get a better picture. The primary certianly doesn't tell the real picture.

I'm a staunch Democrat but I'm going to do whatever it takes to get Helfer elected.
On a related note...S Buffalo where I reside is also a highly Democratic area but the Helfer lawn signs outnumber the Brown lawn signs 3-1.
I think Helfer will give Brown a run for his money...let's hope so for the sake of Buffalo!

But why are we limiting ourselves to Brown vs. Helfer? For all we know, Einach may still be in the race! If a big enough percentage don't like either candidate then she has a real good chance.

But we can't even get a final word whether she's still running or not.

A coordinated effort for a write-in campaign could work too with this much dissatisfaction

    3rd choice

There is a "stalking horse" candidate. Charles Flynn beat Byron Brown in the Independence race. The News ignores him because he opposes a casino and he has the stones to oppose the BassPro deal.
The News owner, Warren Buffet has stock in GAYLORD LLC out of Nashville, Tenn.
GAYLORD LLC is the parent company of Bass Pro.
Flynn researched and found out that after we give them $66 million, in public funds, they are selling the Bass Pro stock after 2 years! The big swindle, brought to us by our good friends at The Buffalo News.

    Nice

Good Point..but isn't Einach out since Flynn won the Independence line? If Judy is still in, then she has my vote, if she is out then Helfer is my man!

According to this article, nobody knows WTF is going on since the board of elections has mucked this primary up.

We may not even know WHO is running until october 10th, which is only 3 weeks before the general election!!! This is only further promotion to BBrown!

I say hte boards of elections is offcially stalling. Would you run your campaign if you didn't even know if you won your primary? Look how small the window is just be delaying the vote count up to october 10th.

I say LET all of them on the ballot and let the best human win.

Im confused...the city of Buffalo didn't have paper ballots so why don't we know if Judy is on the ballot.
    Also..why does it promote Brown?
