Nobody had time to call 911. It had to take at least a minute for 2 gunmen to get in a window.

Seeing they went "inside" the building, I guess you're correct, Sherlock Holmes.
Actualy, given the fact that no one is at the back windopw at 2am unless theres a car in drive thru, it is quite possible to climb thru the window before anyone notices.
It was a "regular robber" in that the two bandits probably planned it out including when the police usually patrol Kensignton.
Pretty damned petty to plan an "inside job" if you're robbing McDonald's! Petty AND stupid.
One thing I'm curious about is that there have been so MANY McDonald's robberies in that area not to mention the gas station on Main & Harlem.
What GIVES? In a town with 5,000 well-armed stormtroopers-I mean Amherst Policemen?
Then again, even the police can not be everywhere at once.
ESP when there are harmless peons to harass and bully about.
On the OTHER hand, these robbers DID sneak in without arousing suspicion.
Maybe they're Ninja robbers.
Coincidence is the word we use when we can't see the levers and pulleys.

where's dougles? he's quick with posts about crimes in buffalo from an amherst computer. even BPD can not be everywhere at once. investigation will be the same. public opinion is always different.
First of all, employees should be told a few things when they run a rest., first is that the back door is locked at all times, second is that the drive thru window when no one is there is locked again at all times. This is one of the rules that is consistently broken in regard to restaraunts. In the summer time, when you drive around the back of any rest., take a look, many many times the back door is propped open - it's totally against any company policy - they do this b/d the kitchen gets hot and the cooks want to cool down. Usually the robbery takes place through the back door, but not the drive thru window. Some one knew that window was open imho. When you work overnights in a place like that, you get lax ......... since usually only the drive through is open at that time, employees could have been anywhere - they could have been playing cards in the dining room, and only get up when they hear the drive thru beep, telling them someone is there to order, hence the lax of time calling 911.
Yes, these robbers are filth but ain't it funny how 'The Buffalo News' doesn't print stories about suburbanites coming downtown for drugs and prostitutes like they USED to?
Hmmmmmmm....
I don't care how "paranoid" it sounds.
Amherst has an image to maintain (for investment purposes) so they try their best to keep violent crime stats as low as possible as in not reporting most of them.

These guys should have applied for the assistant rec director position. The take would have been a lot better.

Because maybe some of them are buying the drug and prostitutes
'King Of New York.' Saw it twice. Walken rules.
That is AWESOME, Surfing. FAN-TASTIC!!!!
Sick enough to "puke blood" upon hearing that "80% of the crimes committed in the burbs are by people from the city"
'The Buffalo News' pushed until they got Mayor Brown to "force" the BPD to release hitherto unreleased crime stats and now that they have,
we have a much better idea of how bad things are out there but in
'The Amherst Bee' and/or other suburban newspapers, the police blotter is filled with "funny foolish harmless calls to the AMHERST POLICE" because all suburban people are model citizens and would NEVER-EVER stoop to the level of evil criminals from Buffalo.
Come on, Amherst-Let the news out;Publish the names of the punks and morons getting in deep trouble in both Buffalo AND the burbs.
You're NOT angels.
Stop pretending to be more "civilized" than us "Buffalo Barbarians." You're NOT.
Pretentious pampered snooty fools.
Oh. Back to McDonald's;Is this the same McDonald's that has been robbed three to five times in the last year or two?
Coincidence is the word we use when we can't see the levers and pulleys.

If you read the editors note in the Bee it says, "The Bee's police blotter is a sampling of unusual, sometimes humorous calls recieved by the police department. It is not intended to be a complete record of all incidents reported." The police blotter is not supposed to be something that is read seriously, it's is more of a thing for people to laugh at.
