I read yesterday in the "Bee" postings for the two (actually maybe three) jobs in town hall. First of all the posting for Deputy Town Clerk is sort of amusing because I have never seen such a list of requirements for the position. In fact it is almost comical for you can run for the office of Town Clerk without any knowledge of the position and its responsibilities, but require your assistants to be more qualified (for less $$$). The other position should be quite interesting to see if or who it will be filled with. If the TS decides not to run for reelection, this individual could be without a job in less than a year.

Debbie Bucki is out of her league and seems to have little knowledge about the Town Clerk's Office. She promised the people of Amherst that she would not take any money from vendors and one of her major contributors, the Spoths, who also did her sign campaign are Town vendors.

Did anyone who voted for Bucki for Town Clerk really think she knew anything about the job? If so, you gotta be kidding! We lost an excellent Town Clerk in Marjorie Jaeger, politics or not. She was good.
