As I stated in the salary report, it would be an eye opener to some if the compensations were totaled and posted by individual. Throw in all the costs for health insurance, health insurance buyout stipends, retirement, overtime, longevity stipends (sheer nonsense), and loads of other perks. We pay these guys pretty good.

And, the same guys that work on and approve contract negotiations are the same guys that use the outcome to further their agendas.

Re health insurance for elected officials, when and how was approval given for elected officials to get $6,800 stipends if they have an outside source of insurance? Some individuals are still looking into it and can't find any document or resolution giving town elected officials the same right to the buy out as town employees.
