A follower of Christ perspective on the elections

Many great men and women of God – ‘white' and 'black’ are behaving like Eliab and wondering why the elect of God cannot see the great danger President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney respectively pose if the elections does not go the way they are campaigning hard from their pulpits!

These ‘elder brothers’ believe they don’t need God to allow the vessel He has ordained to win. They have created fear and hysteria so much that it now consumes them. It is interesting to see how fear is driving the conversation of otherwise wonderful men and women of God who have conveniently retreated into the flesh: racism, ideology and partisanship.

Their bare faced retreat into the flesh should not surprise the elect because well before this time, the Word had this entry:

    Romans 8:5
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

We can now see how deeply and strongly the spirit of religion dug in! We can now see the hollow claims to understanding the gospel of the Kingdom by many! Kingdom citizens do not fight by arm of flesh to possess worldly kingdoms.

God is not in the quarrel of Christians for OBAMA and Christians for Romney
Is it the plan of satan against the church in America to scatter and destroy ? Has satan planned to use this election to engineer such level of disunity in the AMERICAN CHURCH that at the end of the day it will be too weak and disunited to confront the emerging evil ?

Re-think your stance on how you view the elections.....I DID !

Those who are led by the Spirit are the Davids of America while those who are led by the flesh are the Eliabs and Sauls. As men become boys, brawling like street urchins, it is needful for God the father to quickly raise up boys who have been trained in the wilderness for many years to step up the plate to lead the Church in America into the new, end time season!

America: get ready for the new kids on the spiritual block! Beware, for the Davidic anointing is on them!

Let us pray: That the perfect will of God will be done in the US Presidential election on November 6. Let the God of heaven by Himself orchestrate the emergence of the vessel He has allowed to lead America and the gentile nations as the count down towards the return of Jesus draws near! May God also help Israel to look up to Him who is above the hills rather than the occupant of The White House and the Capitol!

Saints in America should exercise their franchise and vote on November 6 but must not participate in the fiendish brawling which brings a reproach to the name of the Lord!

The key is to avoid assumptions that we know who to vote for on our own or to labor in the flesh to instal the preferred person by arm of the flesh which includes fear mongering, hysteria and working up racial prejudices!

Saints should rather go to God with child-like simplicity to receive the leading on who He wants to be the 45th President of America and the prophetic assignment of this particular individual.

By no means should saints allow Satan to divide the Church of Jesus Christ!

It is time to watch, pray and act in wisdom of God!

I'm trying to get this straight. On one hand, it appears you are making the case that the Presidential winner is already preordained. In that case, why should't Obama stay in office? I mean, he won in '08, so that means (according to the logic presented) God placed him in that position. Did he just want him in for four years, or is there more he wants from him? Maybe God DOES want the U.S to have more debt and more "daylight between the U.S. And Israel" after all, the end times are coming eventually, right? Maybe we SHOULD have a President that seems to favor Palestine over Israel? Maybe that's the preordained plan.

On the other hand, the bible tells believers to "fight the good fight" to the very end. At least part of that "fight" involves protecting our religious freedom to talk about Jesus if and when we have the opportunity. To safeguard religious freedom, it means electing leaders that control spending, because debt endangers our national security, as does a weaker national defense. After all, the Bible tells us our future will be filled with wars and rumors of wars, shouldn't a wise nation be prepared to meet this prophecy?

So, yes, pray and seek direction, and also just look around at the world and see what is going on. We can't control everyting that is imperfect in our government - we can only make the wisest choice based on our God-given commen sense.

God used Pharoah for his plan to come to fruition. May who the lord wants to be in the whitehouse be done.

If you vote for Romney or Obama you are not voting Christian if that is the basis of the vote. One sin is as the other be it abortion, same sex marriage or disenfranchisement of the orphans and widows, the elderly and the like. What did Paul tell the rich to do? He told them not to lust after uncertain riches, be careful to maintain good works, to not defraud their brother, and to pay everyone to include women just wages in righteousness.

So its not just the abortion issue or same sex marriage. We are not to vote Christian we are to vote Kingdom and live the Kingdom driven life that no matter who is in office we will not be drawn into such a lie of Christianity as a nation and instead we will be about our Father's business reconciling man back to God.

We will be there for that mother who is considering getting an abortion, and we will help that business leader make decisions based on wisdom and the sovereign rule of God for the believer, and we will help that politician to not manipulate the people but to represent all the people, and we will help those who may be the middle class understand that in the Kingdom God is able to provide supernaturally abundantly for all who will make His Kingdom and righteousness their number one priority.

Jesus said that we are to side with His party. You cannot and should not legislate righteousness. It doesn't make you a righteous nation. It makes one a religious zealot dictator under the guise of Christianity.

Problem is, God didn't give us democracy. Plato gave us democracy. God gave us Kingdom theocracy and told us not to depend on the worlds system but to depend on Him, and Him alone.

I agree with this, with the exception of your "disenfranchisement" list, which I will not go into except to say that it is not on either parties agenda, no one is proposing anything even close. What I want to simply add is the importance of national security in relation to our religious freedom, of which debt reduction is critical (nevermind that it is also biblical - we'll just agree it makes good sense)

Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's

You should consider Jesus wasn't talking about a democracy, he was under a Kingdom rule.

This is why he said what he did about render under Caesar the things that are Caesars and to God the things that are God's.

Why do you think I talk about the Kingdom so much, because that was the message Jesus was trying to get across. He mentioned it more than anything else in the 4 gospels.

Because we don't understand what A kingdom represents and consist of , we misunderstand Jesus and his mission all together. Luke 4:43 "I must preach the good news of the Kingdom of God to the other towns also, because "that is why I was sent."

I gather then that you think the word of god changes by location, time, and circumstance?

Psalms 145:13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.

When your concept of a Kingdom is wrong your conclusions of it will be wrong.

KINGDOM RULE IS NOT A DEMOCRACY RULE

That was a nifty side step but u didn't answer the question.

do you think the word of god changes by location, time, and circumstance?
    You said

You should consider Jesus wasn't talking about a democracy, he was under a Kingdom rule.
Taking your statement at face value leads me to believe that in your eyes everything that was said by Jesus was said in the context of the situation involved and not in an overall sense.

Careful BTT your treading on dangerous ground here.

The word of God doesn't change. God doesn't change.
Let me articulate this for you:
"I'm not locked in here with them. They're locked in here with me!!"
