First, we have the proposed 700billion dollar bail out. The the entire country said NO. Infact their was so much outcry from citizens acrossed the country, that phone systems and email servers were crashing due to the load. Govt websites were crashing from the sheer number of people against this 'plan'

It passed anyways.

Then we have the Fed, giving out loans to anyone and everyone, something they have NEVER in history, have done. All backed by the US Tax payer. Funny how THATS not on the news... btw total bail out cost is somewhere around 8 TRILLION to BANKS.

Now everyone is SCREAMING over the auto industry. The last segment of US Manafactuering, about to collapse due DIRECTLY to a problem the BANKS and CONGRESS created!

Theyre asking 15Billion. Long way from 8 TRILLION! Yet no one cares about the 8 trillion, only the 15 billion, which lets be honest, is a drop in the *****in bucket at this point.

So the Govt now 'controls' the banks. And will control the Auto Industry too.

Now we are hearing media companies are failing. and that the NYT is about to **** the bed. So the govt is going to bail them out too?! If they do, thats 3 major sectors of our free market GONE.

financial, atuomotive, News Media, Next is hospitals and the healthcare industry.

I have to know, I am sorry, maybe someone can explain this to me, because it just doesnt make sense....

And whats even more scary to me, is that it has become EXTREMELY clear that we as americans, have NO control over the direction of our country. We are merely passengers on a train we cant get off of. Just look at the 700B bail out. Our elected officials feel their 'experts' know more than we do!

And we accept this?! We say this is ok?!

Actually, from EVERYTHING I have read regarding 9/11 I honestly, believe the US Federal Govt had involvement. Myabe not the President, or congress, but that was definitely and inside job.

Especially considering that the FBI siezed all camera recordings around the pentagon for 'national security' reasons except one very grainy crappy copy.

What really burns me about the auto industry bailout is they're firing large numbers of people, instead of cutting back where they should. The whole point was to save the workers from losing jobs. OK, I admit the unions have to do their part, and they haven't as yet.

And I have never, even once, thought that the 9/11 attack was an inside job.

What srikes me as so wacked, is that I myself, am a young eprson in my mid 20's. My friends, and part of my family are so brain washed into believing that every thing is peachy. Infact they cant wait for Obama to take the over driving the country. They cant seem to grasp the fact that so far, and with Obama little stimulus plan, that we are going to top 10 TRILLION in US Debt. $10,000,000,000,000.00

Here is something I have noticed as well, I do some amateur photography... Anyways, when taking pictures in public, I have had some people come up to me and question me, and a couple even went so far as to harass me because they were caught in my picture, yet they have NO PROBLEM having thier picture taken hundreds of times a day.

More and more intersections in this area are under video survellance and yet they dont mind that, but me, a private citizen? OMG the autrocity! And its like you have got to be kidding me.

Also, we as Buffalonians, and also something like 97% of the US Population, lives with in a perpetual 'Constitutional Free' zone, where constitutional rights regarding searches with out probable cause or warrants, random stops and interrogations, are 'OK' so long as its done under the guise of 'National Security'

The US Federal govt keeps preaching about how we need more stringent national security standards, so we created the DHS. And with that, because we now face 'terrorists' we need more laws and stuff to make it easier to track terrorists with in our own country. Now, first of all, you cant have any kind of national security, if you have thousands of miles of ungaurded open borders with no security. In college, I wrote a paper on illegal imigration, and during that paper, I found out, for every 38 miles of border, there is 1 border agent, as of 2004.

Now I dont recall any big push for border agents in recent years. No instead, we want to hire security gaurds to confiscate your shampoo so you dont try to shower on the plane. I mean seriously...

The national security 'steps' they are taking are almost laughable. And it would be laughable if it wasnt tied into so much other complete and utter BS.

Look at all the agencies we have for terrorism and 'criminals'

We have, and this is off the top of my head...

Local PD, County PD, State PD, FBI, US Customs, Border Patrol, INS, ICE, NSA, SS, IRS, FDA, EPA, OSHA, DOJ, IA, All these 'agency's', and for what? They tell you what you can, and can not do.

When ever there is any kind of 'problem' such as a scool shooting at an elementary school, as bad as that is, everyone screams about how the 'parents' should have taken more responsibility of their kids, and taught them how to behave or whatever, fact is, today, parents are actually advised against spanking. Infact, if you have a kid with a mental handicap, say, ADHD, and you cant handle the kid anymore because he is just completely off the wall... If you take him to ECMC's psyche ward, social services will come in and remove the rest of your children.

You cant spank your child anymore, thats child abuse. You cant ground your child anymore because thats child abuse. You 'shouldnt' yell at your kids because thats destructive to their persona... I eman seriously, we as individuals are told daily what we can and cant do. Today the child is raised more by the community than by the parent, yet when the child does something 'bad' its the parents fault, but when the child does something good, its because of great community support.

Personal responsibility as an individual? HA! Not in the USA.

If you go to cananda to buy your prescription meds, thats illegal. Yet, if an illegal alien (notice I say alien and not the buzz word imigrant) if they need help its no problem and they get everything they need plus more! But if you need help, and you dont have insurance, youll lose everything you have ever owned.

Our 'elected' officials talk about unity, and how we the sheeple need to stick together.

Yet we are driven apart constantly. Just look at student loans for college.

February is Black History month... If we made January White History month, there would be RIOTS.

We are supposed to embrace everyone elses religon. We are supposed to be tolerant of other people who move to our country, and cant even speak our language, and yet we are expected to conform to THEM.

28 states in the union have declared English their official state language. Well, in the former USA, majority used to rule. Which means, English is the official language of the USSA. (not a typo)

Every where we go there is some form of control. People balk at the fact that China censors its internet access. But our internet access is also censored.

Our news is highly censored. You find that out after reading smaller news sites which dont have multibillion dollar corporations funding them.

Remember how CNN used to be so critical of America Online? But then after TW bought AOL, all of a sudden, CNN was no longer critical of AOL? Interesting.

People need to stop with the 'your paranoid' and stop believing in main stream media so much. What makes their word better over anyone elses? The fact that they have billions of dollars so they MUST be right? Have you ever considered, that maybe, theyre feeding you a line of ****? Seriously. Five corporations run the media in the US, Every year, the execs of these 5, go on a little week outting to discuss their business crap... What theyre discussing is what they will be covering as far as news.

We as a people, need to stop depending so much on govt and large corporations for our well being. We were founded on the idea of living our lives with as little govt/corporate intervention as possible. Yet today, people want to be controlled.

The other real kicker to me is, we as New Yorkians bitch about our democratically run state, and how we pay the most taxes in the country and get little service for the money we pay, yet the majority of the state feels a democratic congress, senate and presidency is some how going to make the US productive. Just look at how screwed NY is with its spending and taxes, think of that only on a national level.

I really agree with most of what's said here. I don't mind the surveillance cameras, etc,So you dont mind the fact that the Govt is watching everything you, where your going, your driving habits, basically invading your privacy? Given, its common knowledge you dont have the same privacy at home as on the road, but still, its an invasion of privacy. but this country need a moral boost, and I'm not talking about sex. When I was 8years old my favorite movie of all time was RoboCop. a movie that is filled with violance, drugs, sex, and 'bad language' I am a contributing member of society. Video games and movies dont shape childrens lives unless the parent allows video games and movies to do the upbringing. Parents need to start taking a stand for their rights as parents, They need to stand up to their right to raise their children as they see fit. Instead, Parents by and large are nothing more than more sheep. Kids today are unruly pests. Reason being is parents are AFRAID of criminal action against THEM if they spank their loud mouthed unruly child. And the kids know it and use it against the parents! I tried to use it against my parents, the end result was mouth washed out with soap and a sore ass. But today, that sort of treatment would lead both my parents to jail time, and me in foster care. So wheres the responsibility of the parents again? Video games dont shape your children unless you allow them too.
People have got to know when they cheat and steal and scrounge and scam, their kids see all of this. They won't grow up to be wonderful and happy adults. They'll be little criminals. Kids aren't being taught the value of life, theirs or others.

This is interesting, because MOST of your billionairs didnt become billionaires by following all the rules. They lied, cheated and stole their way to the top. Tell me, how many around here collect sales tax on any item they sell to ANYONE regardless of who it is, and for how much, because according to tax law, you MUST report it, and pay sales tax on it. How many garage sales do people have and not pay the sales tax? I understand what your saying, but you worded it wrong, More like a well rounded contributing member of society, is more along the lines of reality. By following what you said, you are what the Govt wants, a cookie cutter example of the perfect sheep. Realisticly, if the Govt wants to be our nanny, they should lead by example, by doing such, they would be in violation of everything you stated.

I actually doubt, the news would publish my thoughts. And besides, most americans only believe what the main stream media tells them They are taught, from a young age, that any conflicting point of veiw is to be brushed off and the person labelled as 'paranoid and dillusional'.

Just look at the controversy sorrounding the 9/11 attacks.

Im having a brain fart right now, but remember when the nazi's burned Germany's version of Congress in order to sieze the power? The german people were in denial that their own govt would do such a thing. That they would do this. Even during the begining when Jews were being carted off to the death camps, Germans were in denial that their govt would do this to their people. Over time however they were taught to think of Jews as less human.

Today looking back at history, we cant understand how the German people could have stood for such autrocities. Yet the same crap is happening here in america. Its slow, it takes time. We in america are a much more open society than Germany was in the 30's so the spread of information is alot faster and often times more accurate than it was in those days, so the transformation tends to be a bit slower.

For whatever reasons, It much be shear ignorance amongst the american people, but they absolutely REFUSE to believe that the tools are in place to put an 'elected' president into a dictatorship position with a simple stroke of a pen. This is well documented on government websites under Executive Orders. And yet the American people seem ok with this?

This is the same course of action Hitler took. Slow progression until there comes a time when you can safely push it over the edge and not have mass uprising by the people.

For what?! To police our own people?! Why?! I thought we were 'FREE' country.

Fact is, we arnt, and every day we lose more rights and liberties. But people in general, feel that those of us who have opened our eyes are 'paranoid' they simply are in denial that this could happen here.

The Executive Orders exist. and they give the 'elected' president dictatorship power.

1) guilty until proven innocent. heard this before? why then are suspects held for days or weeks until trial once charges are brought against them? this violates the 6th amendment.

2) bail. the bail is set by the judge. why is he the single arbiter of justice in this instance? such authority is not granted the judiciary by the constitution. moreover, bail is a monetary method of discriminating against the poor, who have few assets to sacrifice for bail. this violates the 8th and the 5th amendment.

3) conscription. this is a form of slavery. yet it is defended b/c proponents of conscription claim that it is necessary to protect our country. they mean our gov't. this violates the 13th and the 5th amendment. (just so you know, jury duty falls under this as well)


4) income tax preparation. you incriminate yourself when you file income tax papers. moreover you spend your time preparing such documents and are NOT compensated. and if you do not prepare your taxes, you are charged with tax evasion and sentenced to jail. this violates the 5th, 8th, and the 13th amendments.

there are a number of other less significant violations that we endure everyday. but b/c we endure them everyday people like yourself, ignore the violations. if you really have any freedom in this country, guaranteed by the constitution, then where is it? noone is free in this or any other country around the world. not yet. we havent been since 1781. the last time we tried to declare our freedom was 1861. in which King Lincoln responded to the firing on fort sumter (in which NO lives were lost nor injuries sustained) with a full scale invasion of the south which cost more than 600,000 lives of only soldiers. there are untold millions of civilians who died due to his food blockade (starving the people into submission seem like a very nice thing to you?), Sherman's scorched earth policy, and occupation.



So I ask again, what can we, as American Citizens do to change the course our country is on? Its a much more difficult question than face value. Especially when you consider, voting no longer works.

Given that polls 'show' people dont trust the government, isnt it interesting how we trust the government to accurately count our votes? Who is to say they arent fudging the numbers? And with electronic voting machines, fudging the numbers just got a whole lot easier!
