Mayoral polls are not going to be accurate

    wkbw mayoral poll, Friday only

For those of you in this discussion group who are still inclined in my direction, I'd appreciate it if you'd a minute and log on to www.wkbw.com, scroll down a little and on the right under Hometown Heros and Interactive is a quick poll for mayor of Buffalo. You don't have to live in the city to participate. This is not a scientific poll. Results will be broadcast on the Friday news. Thanks for helping me look good early in the campaign.
This was quoted from a different thread, and I just want to say that IMHO these web polls will not be accurate if people from outside the City of Buffalo are voting on them.

You don't have to live in the city to participate.

I will be blunt.... Then what's the point?

How can it be determined that 30 people from California didn't vote on it without knowing anything of City politics in Buffalo, NY?

    Excellent point, Nightowl.

An example of how pure politics perverts even the well-intentioned.

BTW-our MB didn't distort this poll: I tried it twice and the connection didn't work.

For those of us living in the City of Buffalo, I created a new poll here on speakup to get a more accurate count of the Buffalo residents' interest.

Didn't work for me either, but I went the webmaster PM route.

    Guess that didn't work either.

I have to redo the poll becuase I forgot a named in the list and once a poll is submitted, it can't be edited. I am going to work on it right now.

Sorry for the mistake. I will repost the link when I am done.
