    Lightbulb RRG new website

    http://www.rrgwny.com/aboutrrg.htm

Residents for Responsible Government website now active!

Here is my suggestion. Why not put all the data we have regarding this area on your website? What about Dr. Marvin Resnikoff's report?

Having the official links to DEC ASTDR, and NFSS site info is not enough. With all the years of research, files, etc. why not provide the "nuts" of the information instead of having the public do the research all over for themselves. Make it easy for people to see the actual data and facts. Not everyone is going to read through thousands of documents.

    How do people contact you?

How do people donate to your organization?

What is the mission of the organization?

If it's there, I can't see it clearly.

Tonight is the Lewiston Porter public meeting with DEC

    RE: http://www.niagara-gazette.com/local/local_story_324220302.html

Was it 60 or 70 people attending? I think it was more like 90 people who attended.

The two persons who is in favor of CWM should consider the following:

The truckers would most likely be safer and better off trucking fills for economic improvement than trucking toxic waste to be burried in the ground.

The total number of jobs at CWM facility who are a mix of scientists, environmental engineers, laborers most likely would rather work on safer and alternative meathods other than landfilling so called "treated" waste. The future security of their jobs would be better if they worked on safer methods of producing goods than the current "dirty and toxic" job they have. The environmental engineers who are currently hired by CWM would be also better off if they worked on the multitude of environmental problems in WNY and the job security can be guaranteed by the New York State for WNY area for remediation and brownfield cleanup.

I totally agree with the Buffalo Niagara Realtor's association, having a COMMERCIAL Hazardous Landfill does nothing for the community.

Tax base will increase with additional eco-friendly development in Western New York when CWM closes down.

Any of you who have read the multitude of discussions on the probems that still plague our area from the Manhattan Project knows, there are definately good jobs to be had for years to clean it up.

It was a terrible idea to have a commercial hazardous waste facility so close to Lower Niagara River and Lake Ontario. It's time to say our community needs environmental justice once and for all.

Remember, we have the world's 20% of fresh water flowing down the Niagara River that must be protected.

Your so right. We take our fresh water lakes for granted. People all over our country are conserving because they do not have water.

Atlanta, Tennessee and many other places will fine and arrest you for wasting water or even watering your lawns... That 's how bad it is..

So we might have to share in the future because of this problem. We need to protect our natural resources so chemicals and other pollutants don't enter the water table and contaminate it.
Kiss someone that's different. It helps.
Lets get the facts first, then go for the jugular!!
It's all transparent, just read between the lines..

Good decision to have the hearing in January 21st.

"The DEC will hold the hearing about the design modification at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Jan. 21 at Lewiston-Porter High School, 4061 Creek Road where residents can voice opinions on the plan, but questions will not be answered, according to the DEC."
