My Congressman's reply on the Free Choice Act

A few weeks ago I wrote my Congressman about my opposition to the Free Choice Act. No where in his reply is it mention that the people who are asked to sign a registration card will be intimated by the union operatives if they don't sign. I think all elections should be done in secret just like our political elections.

I will give my Congressman or his staff credit for taking the time out to reply to my thoughts.

    Below is Mr. Higgins reply

Thank you for contacting me to express your opposition to the Employee
Free Choice Act. I appreciate hearing from you on this issue.

I understand your concern, and the thoughtful concerns that have been
raised by many who are opposed to this legislation. However I'd like to
take this opportunity to explain why I support the Employee Free Choice
    Act.

I support the right of working men and women to band together to bargain
for wages and working conditions, and believe unions are vital to
protecting and strengthening the freedom of workers and to ensuring the
survival of a strong middle class. Most of the benefits and protections
that workers enjoy today came about as a result of union efforts. These
include the minimum wage, social security, an eight hour workday,
overtime pay, the five-day workweek, workplace safety standards, the
Family and Medical Leave Act -- the list goes on. Labor unions remain
essential in today's society to help preserve these rights and work
towards further privileges for workers. As the son of a union
bricklayer, the husband of a Buffalo public school teacher, and the
father of two children, I know that working families deserve paychecks
that sufficiently reward their labor. Protecting and strengthening the
freedom of workers to form unions will ensure such compensation and the
survival of a strong middle class.

Thank you again for contacting me. I understand that you, I and others
may have widely divergent opinions relative to this matter. I want to
reiterate that your views are important to me and I appreciate you
making them known. As your Representative in the United States

Congress, it is a privilege and an honor to serve you and to act as your
voice in Washington. Please feel free to contact me again with any
other issue or matter that concerns you.

    Don't Let Unions take Control

Politicians know that when they have the Unions in their back pocket they are in office for ever.

After hearing reports of what went on at some local town meetings
were citizens were trying to impress on their representatives their displeasure with the Obama health Cate plan. It is a shame on how the Union thugs used intimidation in an attempt to silence the citizens in attendance.

This is a prime example what is in store for workers who oppose joining a union if the Employee Free Choice Act is passed.

    Tyranny wins and freedom looses.

Most unions have the heard mentality, the sheep guided by the knuckle draggers. The Union goons should be aware that real bad things can happen to them when they are not in there little groups. Its sad but my predictions are coming true.
