    Volunteers to Clean, Paint and Polish Historic Broadway Public Market

    BUFFALO, NEW YORK, October 28, 2008 - With rolled up sleeves and much enthusiasm, dozens of volunteers will clean, paint and polish the Historic Broadway Public Market in anticipation of a new era at the Buffalo landmark. The clean up is scheduled for Saturday, November 1st, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Market located at 999 Broadway near Fillmore.

    do we clean the malls too

    these are all private businesses why dont they hire clean up crews like every other businesses does. just because they are holding on to an old out dated concept they think the city should provide their building. why is this market any different then a Mall or store. If it cant stand by its self let the shop owners move to a more profitable location like everyone else does
    One good thing about growing old is your secrets are safe with your friends they can't remember them either

    Several years ago I met this guy who bought a home on the West Side and was doing work on it alittle at a time..Every night after he left from working there people would break in..Sometimes putting holes in the walls,stealing little things like paint brushes,cleaning supplies etc..He boarded the house up and they broke in again...Finally it stopped happening and he was surprised.. one of the neighbors said " Hey I saw you working so hard over there that several of us started chasing people away from your house" because the neighbors realized someone cared..Its going to be awhile for the B-F neighborhood to realize people care as its been redlined for 25+ years.
