We should say no to a state park at Gallagher Beach. It should remain as a free public-access beach, as it always has been, for the people of Buffalo and Western New York. It is the only beach in a city whose vast amount of waterfront is largely inaccessible. The city and county should take care of it, like they do with Delaware and Chestnut Ridge parks. It is a crime that people have to pay to go to Woodlawn Beach.
