    Bucki Increases Town Clerk's Salary!

In the Amherst Bee legal notices dated October 8, the Town Clerk's salary is listed as $65,000. According to the 2008 budget, the Town Clerk's salary is $62,500, this is a $2,500 increase in salary for the Town Clerk proposed by Debbie Bucki.

Is this what Debbie Bucki is trying to hide by not allowing an economic analysis of the budget? This is an indication of how she will spend our money if elected to the Town Clerk's Office.

Why increase it? With all the holiday time and economic conditions in the USA it seems to be a irresponsible thing to do.

Can someone forward this to her and ask her to register to explain why she did this?

It is hard to tell what moves Debbie Bucki. There is nothing in her record of any note which would indicate that she is there to serve. It seems that she should be introducing cost saving measures into the budget process and leading by example rather than taking official actions that make her appear to be sweeping a salary hike under the rug.

I can do better...check Left Wing's latest post....Actions speak louder than words....Bucki voted to decrease the Clerk's pay.
But nothing positisite from Liberty about this. Marlette voted against it.

I was at the meeting and if I remember correctly it was voted down 5-2; with Dan Ward very vocally on how this should not be done with Weinstein in total agreement. Manna and Ward both voted against Bucki's political tatic.

Keep in mind Bucki voted to raise the salary last year. Maybe she'll follow Mohan's lead and promise to work for a dollar a year. The simple fact is she doesn't need the money. Her husband is some big Judge with big time benefits.

So did everybody else vote to raise it at Susan Jaros' request. Keep in mind the market and economy were doing better then too. You want more taxes then so the increase can stay instead of rescinding it. While you are at it, could make sure that corperate america doesn't start cutting back on what it pays for my salary and/or benefits.

Why don't you check your facts first and see if they measure up to the actions.
