Isnt that the oddest thing you ever heard? I never thought much about it until I was renewing my cpr last night and two friends of mine joined me who are teachers - I said, are you kidding me?? Both of you dont have to be certified to teach? "No, it is recommended, but not mandated" - THATS CRAP!

I will do everything in my power to get this changed - this is ridiculous. I think the nurse and the physical education teachers have to have it? Well guess what? If my kid collapses and cant breath or has no pulse, I am surely not willing to wait until the nurse or pe teacher gets there..... and if a teacher did give cpr they would fall under the good samaritian law, so its really a no brainer - the only ppl held accountable or could be sued is someone being paid to administar this - a nurse, doctor emt etc

and a defibrillator? omg thats even easier to administar than cpr - how often is the battery checked at your school? where is it located? this is amazing to me......

I just wanted you all to know that have kids in schools whats going on....
