And, it's happening in every community, huh?

I live near E Aurora, and with these uppity losers, I can't even buy a pair of underwear...I gotta drive to O park, Warsw or Lancaster to find a decent place to shop.

This is the result of the government favoring Corporate America, instead of your local Mom & Pop and indie. owned Businesses.

Mom & Pop always did it better. You could always find items you need, close to home, without a trip to a mall.

    I disagree.
If consumers patronized local mom and pop shops it would not matter what government incentive the corps receive from the government. If you do not have customers, you can not stay in business. Mom and pops may not compete on price but they can kick butt on service. This is their advantage and need they need to sell that portion to the consumer. The problem is consumers have always and will always look at the dollars and cents in their pockets and do not always think abut the service they will or will not receive.

I do agree that in our area the government is always looking towards the big boxes first and not the mom and pops. This is the fault of the mom and pops. Look around and how many mom and pops are out there banging the drum for reform? Not many compared to the number there is in Erie county. That is the sad effect of non-action on their part. You get the government you deserve when you do not make an effort to change it.

I agree w/gone. Consumers might actually start valueing service and convenience a little more if the economy picks up some. Walmart,Tops, & Home Depot are a PITA sometimes.

Money goes where money is...................And here in the socialist republic of New York the $$$$ is in the pockets of special interests groups, lawyers and the politicans that kiss their a$$ at every turn!
