Notice all the "holding center sheriffs" making $100,000 per annum.
Who say's crime doesn’t pay.
Ya just have to know which side of the bars to be on.

The difference between taxes and robbery is the mode of coercion.
Supposedly the OT in the Holding Center is due to staff shortages and regulations regarding how many need to be working based on how many are being held. The claim is also being made that it is cheaper to pay the OT than to hire more people and pay benefits, etc. These spinners could find a way to make it look above board to force feed a diabetic a 5 pound bag of sugar.

I don't want to move, I want to make a difference.
Rather then hire 100 full-time people and have them work 60 hour work weeks, why not hire 200 part-time people and have them work 30 hour work weeks and avoid the benefit goodies.Originally posted by lyn1639

Time to rework the contract.

What's the current per hour remuneration for a holding center sheriff?
I'd be willing to bet that whatever it is times 30 hours a week times 52 weeks a year would still exceed the per capita median annual income of your full time working private sector Erie county resident.

I would guess. It is close to that anyway. Think they start out in the 35 range.
