So are these plants genetically modified to have more nutrients? Or just tested to see which plants do?

These sunleaves coir pots are not that bad.

    Baby Lettuce

Plant roots easily penetrate the durable, fibrous construction of Sunleaves Square RootPots. Made from natural byproducts of the coconut industry, the multi-size RootPots are perfect for use in hydroponic systems.

RootPots also work as earth-friendly alternatives to plastic and peat pots.

    From their FAQ

Q: Will I have to remove the plant from the RootPot before planting it in the garden?
A: Because healthy root systems penetrate RootPots completely, established plants cannot easily be separated from their pots without incurring some damage. Fortunately, it is not necessary to remove plants from Sunleaves RootPots. RootPots can be placed directly into the garden with no problem as they are all-natural and biodegradable.

Only thing I added was a seedling heating mat in the last few days because the basement cools down at night.

    These are growing fast...

Here's the plan.. they need space.. Shouldn't over crowd what your growing...

We'll have 8 to a tray so all the leaves get full light. As always I recommend general hydroponics nutrients. Others work as well. Because I have a seedling heating mat under the tray the water evaporates a little faster than normal. I mix us a light solution the night before and water what ever in the morning.....

Do we see a difference here? The top 4 plants weren't watered general hydroponics nutrients. The lower 8 were. All the plants were in the same soil, same watering schedule, planted at the same time, same growing temp and received the same amount of light.
