Ok, we all know that both candidates spun the facts and told half truths in atempts to score points in the Debate.

A good example of this is McCain's attempt to paint Obama has having voted against funding the troops. At first blush this sounds horrible, but to his credit, Obama did a great job of diffusing this when his turn came. He succinctly explained that he voted against a troop funding bill that did not include a withdrawal deadline, NO Different than McCain who had voted against a bill to fund the troops that INCLUDED a withdrawal date.

What was interesting is that when duly countered McCain stood down on that point... Point Obama (in my thinking), but the benefit to McCain was that some folks will remember the initial point McCain scored and by not perpetuating the issue by debating it, the issue fizzled.

In contrast take the Obama statement that Kissinger agrees with Obama on talking to rogue dictators without preconditions. When challenged Obama turned into the argumentative lawyer schtick and parsed and danced and kept his lie as his talking point and thus kept the issue in the forefront.

Now, with this http://www.weeklystandard.com/weblog...ger_unhapp.asp

Obama looks even more lame on the issue. His inexperience and bluster is coming back at him.
