Local broadcast legends shine in Buffalo
If it was not for Art Wander I would not have been introduced to Lee and Gary who write for speakup. Art also helped me with some other accounts when I first started one of my companies. Nice guy. The Buffalo Broadcasters Association inducted its 12 class into the Broadcasting Hall of Fame at WNED- TV Studios.
ESPN Football analyst and Lackawanna native Ron Jaworski, former weatherman Barry Lillis, and legendary radio sportscasterArt Wander are among this year's inductees.
Past inductee, News 4 Senior Correspondent Rich Newberg, updated plans to bring back allthe TV news film in Buffalo from the 1960's.
Channel 4 is the only station that has signed on for this project.
Channel 4 President and General Manager Chris Musial said, "We are the video archive. We're the video memory keepers. Nobody else has that, and if we don't do something about it, it's lost."
