    Lightbulb Sarah Palin Speaks

I don't normally watch the giant infomercial that is a major partys convention but my curiosity has gotten the best of me with Mrs. Palin

Please post any comments about the convention speech in here.

I will be watching on MSNBC and I have already tuned in. If your watching please share any impressions you may have along with the channel your watching

    First impression

The talking heads are going on and on and everyone is saying whats expected.

    Some things I didnt no:

Alaska has a 10 billion dollar budget.

    Obama is Harvard man.

    Impressions:

I think the press is over doing the vetting thing. Dems will rail, republicans will defend. I imagine most independents/swing voters dont care. I dont expect the prez/boss to explain to me why he makes decisions. Its obvious this was political but so what? So was picking Biden. Everyone expects it to be a political pick.

Good for repubs bad for dems?:

They are still comparing Her to Obama I think this plays into the republican hands and the media is getting played. Your comparing my number 2 to your no 1. That always puts the other guy in a bad light.

    Funniest moment so far:

Biden wants lieberman to "come to the gym with him"

Looks like this election will include an old man slap down

I think it's pretty cool that she's not from the Washington establishment - a reformer they say, from the Alaskan frontier. The Wild West where we may have oil.

I'm watching CNN and a female commenter mentioned it as a strong point.

I can't help the sinking feeling that we're going to f up the globe.

    Noteworthy observation:

Didnt watch the last one, but as I recall this is the most minority faces I recall having ever seen at a GOP convention. Is the GOP attracting more minoritys or is this staged?

    Question:

Is having no rythym a requirment to attend political conventions?

If this ticket gets elected, they will. Sarah is a pro-gun creationist who believes that sex ed should not be taught in the schools, women should not have the right to choose, books should be banned, the polar bear should not be an endangered species (does she like to shoot them?) and does not believe anything can be done about global warming, despite the fact that, as one commentator put it, the northern part of her state is melting into the ocean. She believes that God supports the war ("Onward, Christian soldiers!") She has no knowledge of international issues or relations. This is the greatest country on earth, for heaven's sake, is SHE what you want representing us on the world stage? She sure as hell doesn't represent me. Women should think twice about this one. This is the kind of dolly who could make sure a woman isn't elected again for mucho years. She ain't in Hillary's league, no way, no how.

Y'know, I never understood what was wrong with that yell. He just sounded enthusiastic to me. Guess the more "high class" Republicans were offended. The same people who are today giving us self-proclaimed Valley Trash Palin. Wow, that's who I want leading MY country!

    HOLY COW!

    This Huckebee guy is good.

I figured Rudy would be their best but he has a tough act to follow.

The desk thing was just masterful.

Was that vet wiping a tear?

    Bingo!

Romney deflects question by pointing out to reporter that sarah is no 2 person on the ticket reporter looks dumb comparing no 2 to no 1.

Jeez is it this easy to play the press?

    "Obama voted "Present" 130 times"

This is true, but just for the record, he voted over 4,000 times in the State Senate
