    2012 Elections: Palin vs. Clinton

The events of the past few days creates intriguing pairings for the next presidential election cycle.

Despite the frothings of the likes of some of the rabid dems on this Board, McCain has put events in motion, by his selection of Gov Palin, that could have the people of the US actually ELECTING their first female president in the next set of elections... and she may be the likes of Republican Palin... Aint that a hoot?

Just play it out... say McCain/Palin win the vote in November (it really is feasible now that the Republican ticket has/can energize its conservative and evangelical bases that have up to Friday talked of "staying home"). Further, admit it or not or like it or not, there are dem whites who WILL NOT pull the lever for a black man once they are behind the curtain, or will just stay home. And that is a phenomenon that was documented during the primary races. Having 90% of the black dem vote is not sufficient nation wide.

So, on speculation, say that McCain and Palin win. Assume McCain lives healthily and happily throughout his first term and Palin gains the 4 years of creds, experience, grooming and chops... and she avoids controversy and scandal and continues to win the hearts of the country.

I say Hilary has her hands full in 2012!

Hence the disclaimer/intro/qualifiers "So, on speculation..." and later "Assume..."
