China is trying to be like us, and we're trying to be like China.

This stuff is frightening. Regulating blogs? Talk radio?
The truth from a troll is still the truth.

the "fairness doctrine" was instituted when there were 3 networks, no real internet, and cable was essentially non-existent. The idea was that we didn't have a lot of media choices, so there needed to be equal time given on the limited channels available.

Today, this is not even close to the case. Blogs, radio, satellite radio, satellite TV, cable, the major networks, and even FIOS present ways to disseminate media and ideas.

This is nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to destroy conservative talk radio. The thing that Nancy and her group of Putinistas doesn't realize is that IF this thing spreads to blogs, there are just as many left-wing blogs as there are right wing ones, maybe even more.
The truth from a troll is still the truth.
