    Council candidate Heymanowski

    From the SOurce-
Roger Heymanowski hopes to clinch a seat on Cheektowaga’s Town Council.

Heymanowski is a retired vocational instructor and teacher, Vietnam combat veteran and has been married 41 years having three children and five grandchildren.

Heymanowski is a former business owner. He has worked as the executive director of the Youth Conservation Corp., Erie County Deputy Sheriff, Erie County Juvenile Detention, marketing consultant, and producer and host of a local television show. He has a bachelor’s degree in communications, and an associate’s degree in recreational supervision.

“With other life experiences, I intend to bring qualified leadership to the Cheektowaga Town Board,” said Heymanowski. “I became a candidate because I see Cheektowaga heading in the same direction of increased taxes, poor services, lack of foresight, infrastructure problems, poor fiscal management, no transparency of town business, and total lack of leadership.”

When elected, Heymanowski will recommend no increase in town taxes, have a complete and comprehensive audit of town assets, and allow no town employee to serve as chairperson of town political parties. He will also re-evaluate town contracts, town expenditures and hiring procedures of town employees. Heymanowski will only have supervisory personnel who identify with the new management ideology. He will develop an improved town marketing strategy, veteran awareness programs and improve town assessment procedures.

Heymanowski will develop transparency venues, as streaming on line, and utilizing government access stations for town citizens to see what transpires at town meetings.

“Cheektowaga has constant increases in town taxes, fiscal problems, lack of transparency and many other problems,” said Heymanowski. “Cheektowaga residents need a council person with new ideology, new initiatives, higher standards, and a plan that will take Cheektowaga into the 21st century on a more positive note. When elected, I will be that council person.”

This is just what the opposition minority party needs - a fresh face with new ideas rather than someone who's tired old whining hasn't previously been rejected by the voters.

You mean you believe the Buffalo Bills won the Super Bowl 13 to 52? Somebody should tell Dallas they were the losers and get back those rings.

Don't you need two parties to agree to a contract? The party of the first part, the voters, rejected the contract. Time to come up with something new.

You know what the say about doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results....
