Great idea res, this way if the dems get rawdy, it can be posted on Youtube for all to see! The dems will loose any credibility they might have left. McCracken has to keep his boys back because now that he is running for legislator, this can backfire on him.

Will there be a neutral person asking questions or just a free for all?

From what I understand, someone from the Chamber of Commerce will be asking questions submitted by the audience. Every one will receive a card upon arrival and can submit questions. All questions will be screened.

It is my opinion that the upcoming debate is a good opportunity to learn where the candidates stand on issues - althogh campaign promises are broken most often.

As someone who will be attending and has a question in mind to ask, I would interested in hearing what issue questions others are thinking of asking. It is my understanding that questions will be taken from attendees and both candidates will have an opportunity to speak on the same question/issue.

I am sure there are some of us that will attend the debate and would be willing to change their minds and ask your question if they feel it is more relevant and important.

There is much to think about:

    Taxes
    Uncontrolled Town spending
    Infrastructure
    Overburdened roads
The millions wasted with the police/courts building project process
IDA program - IDA'S without job creation (Lancaster Airport), to successful retail businesses in enhanced zones, etc.
No town employee contributing to their health care program (average individual cost at $18,303)
$3.2 million for town hall renovation/expansion, $106,000+ for OEM Building, only $35,000 for library that has a leaky roof and needs carpeting and a make over.

Now Benderson is trying to get into the IDA candy dish for the Enhancement zone businesses.

In due time all businesses in the Enhancement zone will be asking for breaks from the Lancaster IDA and its Chairman Supervisor Giza.

The Clarence IDA was criticized by the state budget office for giving a grant to the Clarence Chamber of Commerce to relocate their office. This clearly does not fall within the guideline of the IDA. Incidentally, the chairman of the Clarence IDA is not the Clarence town supervisor. It's the town supervisor's opponent in the upcoming election.

Lancaster has given the Lancaster airport tax breaks with absolutely no job creation which is clearly not within the guidelines of the LIDA's mission. Yet, nothing from the state comptroller's office or the state budget office criticizing the airport's lack of job creation. Giza and his cronies must be made of Teflon because nothing ever sticks.

With all the costs rising yearly- healthcare, mandated pension contributions, employee wages (no wage freeze in 2013), debt service when the town starts drawing on the monies for the police/court facility, other benefits such as longevity pay, take your copper to work pay, what are the candidates proposals or intentions to keep the tax rate from skyrocketing for the 2013 budget?

Another successful developer looking for corporate welfare for a retail business and will most likely get it because the development lies in the a designated town/village distressed zone. And more likely that not this spec building developer will get it.

As the taxes are in arrears about $60,000 for the only property owned by the Lancaster airport that does not receive a PILOT, would the candidates (the one responsible for the PILOT give-away (current Supervisor Giza) or his opponent Mr Fudoli) be inclined or not inclined to give the Lancaster airport PILOT's in the future, especially considering there is no job creation.

Hmm... may be a good question for the debate on Tuesday! Seriously, I cannot imagine Dino giving out another IDA to the airport considering airports do not normally get IDA tax breaks. Oh I forgot! They do in lancaster...

It think it is a mistake for the IDA to give Benderson any IDA's. To continue to give handouts that are not consistant with the general municipal law is in poor judgement. We cannot continue to promote "Corporate Welfare" when the purpose of giving out IDA's is clearly to promote industrial growth/economics.

Benderson has shown in the past that they continue to maintain empty shell buildings. Prime example is the huge building they constructed over 3 years ago on Transit Road and Clarence Center Road. To date, that huge building is still an "empty shell." In Williamsville on Main Street many years ago a "Walkable" community was to be constructed where the old gun club was. When the community found out it was Benderson as the developer, there was an uproar. Theystopped the construction, why because their fear was that Benderson does not fill their space.

We cannot continue to promote "Corporate Welfare." We are to be in the business of "promoting growth." The airport owes $60,000 in back taxes and is in an Article 7 with the town. I believe their IDA's should be removed.

Question to ask, when does the IDA draw the line in the sand when giving out handouts that does not reflect the general municipal law?

But you did read in the paper why though didn't you? The IDA's make money from processing deals. They must have some people on payroll of some sort including bills to pay like electric/gas/rent from where they operate from.
