Erie County Conservative Party Recommends Joe Mesi for State Senate

61st District - The Erie County Conservative Party has announced its
recommendation of Joe Mesi for State Senate. Recognizing that Joe Mesi is
a fiscal conservative dedicated to cutting wasteful, the Erie County
Conservative Party is confident he will work to bring fiscal
    responsibility back to Albany.

Erie County Conservative Party Chairman, Ralph C. Lorigo said the party
decided to recommend Mesi after meeting with him Thursday night.
"He understands that the taxpayers in Erie County have been hit hard by
this economy, and wants to help them get back on their feet by bringing
fiscal restraint to the Capital," Lorgio said.

"I am grateful for Conservative Party's support," said Mesi. "This year,
we face difficult economic times, and yet Albany voted to increase
spending in our State Budget. Having run my own business, I know it's
important not to spend more than you take in and I think the politicians
in Albany have forgotten this rule. I will work hard to bring fiscal
    responsibility to our State Legislature."

The Conservative Party of New York State was formed in 1962 and is
dedicated to the individual freedom, individual responsibility and
individual effort. The Conservative Party has attracted voters from around
the state and now boasts a membership of nearly 170,000 members. The
Party has successfully led campaigns to defeat proposed changes to term
limits, excessive School Bond Acts, and expensive transportation bonds.
Statewide, the Party has forged strong links to Republicans and Democrats
of compatible views and is has established itself as a strong political
presence in Western New York, and throughout the state.

Show us how he can be considered a spending liberal?

Not that I'm voting for Joe but what is your problem with him?

    See he gets it.

I have nothing against Joe Mesi.

I'd rather have someone with some business experience representing me. Someone with budget experience and a real track record of convervativism. Someone who has a resume that states examples of why they are qualified for this position.

Erie County Conservative Party Chairman, Ralph C. Lorigo said the party
decided to recommend Mesi after meeting with him Thursday night.
"He understands that the taxpayers in Erie County have been hit hard by

So Mr Lorigo how many other candidates have you interviewed so far?

Can we see the resume he gave you?

I may be wrong but other than boxing what other business positions has he held? NOT the "I'm Joe Mesi the Boxer" buy thier products. I mean real business experience that helped you clinch he's a fiscal conservative?

Does Joe Mesi have negociation experience or marketing experience? I mean he's gonna have to negociate with people in albany to see the error in thier ways.

It's not like he's gonna get to box them for what he wants..

I'm curious what did Ralph Lorigo read, review or what to make this decision.

'cept they smell worse and probably do more damage. How much do you think Mesi paid for this endorsement?
One beautiful thing about having a government of the corporations, by the corporations, and for the corporations is that every disaster is measured in terms of economic loss. It's sort of like getting your arm sheared off in a car accident and thinking, "Damn, now it'll take longer to fold the laundry" as blood spurts from your arteries. - The Rude Pundit

Mesi a fiscal conservative? Are you serious?

Isnt boxing well known for its fiscal corruption and people skimming money off the top of their fights? When has Mesi even balanced a budget in his life?

This is just another example of the Erie County Conservative Party selling out its beliefs to the highest bidder. They are no better than the Democratic, Republican or Independence Parties.

Gets what? Joe is so fiscally conservative he left out the word spending. As for your theory on business men holding that position, I think I'll pass. That may hold true for an administrative position (mayor, county exec, pres, etc) but this is a legislative position. I'd much rather have a person with "community" ideals at hand, rather than "business" ideals.

Then again maybe you like the fascist ideals of government intertwined with business.

BTW, I could care less about Joe. I ambivalent in my support.
