Closed for good could not make ends meet.
On George Urban? Is it closed for good or just for remodeling? I really like that place.

Wow! That's just very sad. I wish him well.

Oh NO! I went to Patrik's for all my cold cuts and meats. That's too bad. I really liked the place. It was always busy when I was in there.
I know, that's why I'm suprised it is closed. It really is a shame.Originally Posted by Ms.Depew.to.you

The deli on Transit, just south of Broadway (east side of Transit)is supposedly very good (I don't know the name of it.)
So good, I guess, that they're moving into the old John Deere space.
In the plaza next to the roller rink? I heard they were good too.Originally Posted by therising

I do have to say, Patrick's did close early, especially on Sunday. If people need to run to the store for milk, they generally don't know they need to until after dinner. Patrick's closed early in the evening too. I'm the type that doesn't want to make 2 trips for one thing. If I think a store may be closed, I won't go there in the first place. That's a hard thing to balance; a business and home life. That's usually the deciding factor when I get the urge to open a business, not the money I won't make but how much time I have to spend to make the money.

At work last week a few students told us that locally owned delis have been going under because of the rising prices of meat and cheese. Also, some deli owners lost their stock during the October storm a few years ago and were never able to recover because insurance only covered partial losses.
I'm just here to make people laugh. And to confuse people. Oh, and to irritate people.
that deli is moving to the john deere dealer location that closed on transit past como.next to yia yias candies soon.Originally Posted by therising
