I usually capture them in a container from an old mini-screwdriver set that I keep in the junk drawer. Once they are cupped they usually freak out and fall to the bottom of the container and I then slide a cover from a book of matches over the top and proceed to take them back outside to release them so they can find their way back into the house! Although they don't seem to fair too well when you let them go in the snow.
My buddy on the other hand, likes to dangle them from their web as they try to escape his grasp, only to be swallowed down his wide open mouth. Frigging Renfield! He likes to eat the moths and other things hanging around the lights on the cottage during the summer as well.

Anyone notice spiders coming in for the winter? Took 3 outside last night.

Nothing is smarter than a fly. They're telepathic and they speak English.....
Let me articulate this for you:
"I'm not locked in here with them. They're locked in here with me!!"
