    Ah

That's why you should always take your car into the dealership for repairs. I know there more cost but not really. I've paid $43.00 for an oil change that Jeffy Lube because my oil light came on on Sunday, and my dealer wasn't open I had no other choice. At my dealership it only cost me for oil change $21.00 buck. Plus your car history is there your dealer knows you, and you know your sealer. This goes to show America going amok for the GREEN.

If your oil light came on and your dealership was closed, why didnt you just open the hood, check the oil level, and add the appropriate amount of oil until full. That would have only cost you less than 2 dollars, and easily gave you plenty of time to make the appointment with the dealership.

    Are you seriously that clueless?

Quickie-Lube grease monkeys are a lot like cheap whores; they are busy trying to sell you on those profitable "extra" services that you don't need or want.

Most did not graduate at the top of their BOCES class and would not even recognize a doubled-up oil filter gasket, or realize that overfilling a crankcase can cause serious engine damage.

Locally, Mr. Oil Change was charged by the NYS Attorney General Spitzer with defrauding the public by filling up their engines with cheap, substandard oil, claiming it was Castrol. Poor quality oil could mean major problems for your engine, and 30,000 WNY customers were effected.

They also failed to scrape an old filter gasket off the crankcase, and installed a new filter. The result was the almost instantaneous loss of 5 quarts of oil when the driver pull out of the shop.

Since 5 of 9 Jiffy Lube Shops were fleecing West Coast customers, I'm sure that any Quickie-Lube in Buffalo would indicate similar results. How about a local media investigation?

One local Lube shop owner is not exactly a pillar of the community. He's a former Buffalo police officer who was indicted for murdering unarmed Richard Long.

No my days of ripping on engines are over now I pay others to do it. Besides, my body will not allow me to bend too much for long periods of time. Oh as for adding oil well my car doesn't work like those old types. Once my light comes on its time to change it adding really doesn't stop the light from coming back on lol. Stop rolling your eyes you're younger then I you come change it for me. lol

So you are driving a newer GM car/truck with the "Oil Life" light. When that comes on it means change it soon, not "Your engine will become a hand grenade within 100 miles".

Do the repairs myself. At some point though, I will have to turn it over to someone...just who, is the question?

This is true about Delta Sonic. Their mechanics cause more damage and if you don't catch it you're out of luck. If you catch it and complain, the owner will reimburse you.

Their car wash doesn't even wash away snow, and the full car cleaning leaves you with a spit and shine job.

They used to do a wonderful job for a lot less money, but with the new drive in and shine thing you get nothing.
