Top toy awards for Fisher-PriceBusiness First of Buffalo

A toy from Fisher-Price Inc. won both the most innovative toy of the year and the educational toy of the year awards at the Toy Industry Association's Annual Toy of the Year Awards gala.

Fisher-Price, based in East Aurora, is part of Mattel Inc.

The Fisher-Price Smart Cycle Physical Arcade Learning System won the two awards. It is a stationary bike that plugs into a television's A/V jacks to allow children to play learning games while pedaling and steering, according to a release.

The awards were presented on Feb. 16 at the Toy Industry Association's Annual Toy of the Year Awards gala at Chelsea Piers in New York City, according to a release.

Mattel (NYSE: MAT) designs, manufactures and markets toys and family products under brands that include Barbie, Hot Wheels, Matchbox, American Girl, Radica, Tyco R/C, and Fisher-Price.
